is a poetic expressive artist who specializes in Spoken Word, enriched by her acapella vocals. Her artistic expression is characterized by vivid storytelling, often accompanied by live musicians or handheld instruments. She prioritizes authentic live performances that do not rely on recorded tracks, ensuring a genuine connection with her audience.

LyriK's artistic journey began in her childhood, where storytelling served as a creative outlet. As she matured, art became a powerful tool for release and healing. In 2019, she faced her stage fright during an open mic, and since then, she has dedicated herself to overcoming fears and motivating others to do the same. Her focus on healing and growth reflects a profound understanding that self-love shapes our capacity to love others.

LyriK draws inspiration from her life experiences, including love, pain, and pivotal moments in her journey. She believes that creativity is unique to each individual and should be inspired by the world around us. Her strong connection to music, stemming from her upbringing in a Baptist family, intertwines with her poetry, making both forms of expression integral to her work.

LyriK is deeply engaged in community art projects and initiatives. She has partnered with organizations such as 2 Inspire Peace, The Writers Garret, the City of DeSoto, Pan African Connection, and Volunteering While Black, among others, to promote community healing and artistic growth.

Throughout her career, LyriK has collaborated with a variety of artists, musicians, and performers, including A. Psymmetry, Maurice Curtis (saxophonist), and O.I. The Band, among others. Her previous involvement with The Brown Sugah Lounge has also fostered numerous artistic partnerships.

Her work has been featured in various publications and media outlets, such as Voyage Dallas and Canvas Rebel. Additionally, she has self-published a book of poetry titled Love & Life Thru The Eyes of LyriK, which is available on all major book platforms.

LyriK's future goals include creating opportunities for artists on both national and international levels, using poetry and public speaking as platforms to support community efforts. She aims to assist those less fortunate in accessing resources for a healthier and more productive life.

LyriK sees herself expanding her performance resume through national college and corporate tours, engaging in community collaborative projects, and forming partnerships with like-minded organizations. Her vision is centered on promoting positive energy that contributes to healing and improving society.
